Great product January 28, 2008
By Sheila Francis Kerls
Durability: Educational: Fun:
These are sturdy and easy to put together. I expect them to last through several years of family play for our grandson.I think this box alone might be sufficient for a very little child, but for play for more than one, or to have enough to "grow" with the child, another box of these or different sized blocks would be needed. We also bought a box of 40 of mixed sizes, and all the men in the family joined in the building!

Fun but Expensive January 1, 2008

The blocks ship as sheets of cardboard that you have to fold. It takes about a minute to fold each block. The blocks are reinforced inside so they won't collapse if kids sit or step on them. They are very light. This is good because kids like to knock over the walls and towers that they might build, but it is bad because it makes whatever you build a bit on the unstable side. The blocks cost about forty dollars with shipping, and there isn't that much that you can do with 16 blocks. So if you end up buying two sets, then you are spending eighty dollars for cardboard boxes. My kids and their friends do play with these a lot, and they integrate the blocks into play with other toys (they make garages for cars, houses for stuffed animals, etc.). I am rating this four stars because I think that they are overpriced, but they are a fun building toy.

Lots of fun and no bells and whistles April 6, 2010

Durability: Educational: Fun:
One of the toys my children remember most from their childhood was big cardboard building blocks. I bought these for my grandchildren so they too could enjoy the pleasure of building tunnels, garages for trucks, castles for themselves and just plain towers to knock over. We have two sets and they play with them every time they come to grandma's house. It is a delight to see their creativity and a joy that the toy doesn't beep, ring or whistle!
